one of the cool things about this wordpress site is that it comes with a little feature that can tell you how many people per day are actually visiting your site. after being on this thing for like two months, i’ve noticed that no one really ever reads this. there’s the occasional spike in the graph when sporadically i’ll get upwards of 60 views in one day, but typically it hovers around the 2-5 person per day range. and those big numbers have happened maybe two or three times ever. at first, i really started to question my writing. maybe i’m just not a good writer. then i started looking at the more popular blogs on wordpress and realized that quality of writing doesn’t seem to be too big of an issue apparently. maybe my writing does suck, but at least it might not be the reason no one ever reads this.

so i’m wondering what to do about this. the way i figure it, i’ve got two options. the first is that i try to advertise myself more. how exactly i do this is a complete mystery to me, but it’s an option. the second option i have is looking slightly more appealing though. i think what i might end up doing is taking advantage of the fact that no one reads this and speaking my mind a little more openly about things; saying things that are maybe more controversial than i would otherwise. and i think i’m ok with that. in fact, i’m going to start that right now.

i hold the personal belief that christians should cuss more in front of other people. the rest of the world thinks we’re a joke anyway. at least this way, we might sound a little more believable.

  1. I can say I occasionally read your blog- when I am absolutely bored beyond all reason. (j/k) Anyway, if I ever want to know anything about what’s going on with you I have to look at your myspace since you refuse to converse with me. Aside from that, I think that people as a whole -christian and non- should cuss a lot less. Profanity is foul. It is also a sign of low intelligence when you have to use f*** as a noun, verb, and adjective. Plus, its inappropriate for “little ears” as I am very aware of now.

  2. i’m not talking about casual use cussing. i’m talking about how christians tend to use words make them sound absolutely ridiculous in context of the world around us. cuss words shouldn’t be so common as to become white noise. but they can be used in an appropriate (i know, subjective) time and place. they’re strong words and lose their force if used without consideration

  3. Your not an average guy to me. How can you be? We lived a wall away from each other for two years. A lot of my musical inspiration during that time came from you.
